Non-woven wallpapers

Non-woven wallpapers
Vlies is a relatively new type of wallpaper, but it is used more and more often. Its popularity can be attributed to two things. One is the rich visuals, and the other is ease of use, easier installation.

Advantages

The non-woven wallpaper is based on plant fibers or with wool fibers, which is sought after by interested people in large numbers in stores, and it accounts for the largest percentage of purchases. For its production, an impregnated fibrous material is used, which is mostly a mixture of cellulose and textile fibers consolidated with a binder. These materials guarantee extreme flexibility and dimensional stability. Such wallpapers are able to allow air and moisture to pass through them to a certain degree. Based on these, we can say that the biggest advantage is flexibility and "breathable material". Another positive is that it can also be fire-resistant and is suitable for hiding the unevenness of the wall. Among its special features, it can be mentioned that it has to be glued in a non-traditional way, there is no need for soaking, and in most cases the glue only needs to be applied to the wall. Thanks to this property, with due care, the wallpaper can even be applied to the surface with your free hand. It differs from other wallpapers in that it does not require a resting time, and it can also be used in certain types of bathrooms.

Gluing

Before the operation, it must be ensured that the surface is clean, smooth and homogeneous in color. The wall must be coated with a specially mixed adhesive suitable for non-woven wallpaper. The size of the painted surface should be at least 20 centimeters more than the width of the wallpaper strip itself. The wallpaper must be smoothed into the applied glue, and then with the help of a brush or roller, the excess glue can be easily removed with vertical smoothing movements from the center towards the edges. Do the same for the next strip of wallpaper. When applying patterned wallpapers, you must pay attention to the fit!

Fashionable versions of wallpapers

Textile wallpapers are among the oldest wall covering materials. Nowadays, felt, various cords, and even pearls are used in production. Printed patterns are also very popular, but among the range of non-woven wallpapers you can also find foamed ones. They usually also have a spectacular, structured surface. It can be said that the best attention should be paid to the fitting of rich, meticulously crafted patterns. The defect may not be noticeable up close, but the defect will be very noticeable a few steps away from the wall.

In terms of their patterns, we can also find a rich selection in the stores. There are patterns that never go out of fashion and give the room a great atmosphere. These include floral motifs, geometric patterns, and classic patterns reminiscent of the past.
